Ambassador Florbela Alhinho Paraíba was born on June 29, 1972. With a degree in international relations, she entered the Portuguese diplomatic service in 1996 and has served in Dili (Timor-Leste), Washington and the United Nations in New York, Brasília (Brazil), Rome (Italy), and, as Ambassador in Dakar (Senegal). Among other positions, she served as Advisor to the Portuguese Minister of State and Foreign Affairs and as Chief of Staff to the Executive Secretary of the Community of Portuguese-Speaking Countries (CPLP). Since 2024, Ambassador Florbela Paraíba is the President of the Board of Camões, I.P.. She is married and has three children.
